Last updated: 21 October 2026

Welcome to OrbMetal — your one-stop solution for the metal trade.

We bring verified buyers and sellers together in one place, so you spend less time searching and more time doing business. From finding the right grade to connecting with the right party, we make the process simple, fast, and convenient — built for the trade that’s been underserved for too long.

A quick, important note:

OrbMetal is a connection and facilitation platform only. We help you find the right buyer or seller and make it easy to connect — but we are not a party to any transaction that takes place through our platform. We do not guarantee the quality, quantity, pricing, delivery, or payment of any deal, and we are not responsible for any dispute arising between buyers and sellers.

Calls made through OrbMetal may be recorded for quality and dispute-resolution purposes.

By using OrbMetal, you agree to trade in good faith and understand that the final responsibility for every deal rests with you and the party you’re dealing with.

We’re here to make the connection easy. The trust, you build together.

1. What this service is

OrbMetal connects businesses in the metal trade. Sellers keep a current price for each item they deal in. Buyers see those prices anonymously, pick a seller, and speak to them through the app. After each call both sides say what happened, and a deal both sides confirm is recorded in both their deal histories.

2. What this service is not

We are not a party to any transaction between users. We do not buy, sell, take title to, or take custody of any material. We do not hold or process the money for a trade, provide credit, guarantee quality or quantity, inspect goods, or arrange delivery. Any contract you enter into is between you and the other business, and you are responsible for your own due diligence on the counterparty, the material and the terms.

3. Accounts and verification

You sign in with a mobile number. You must be authorised to act for the business you operate on this service. Before you can publish a price, select a seller, or call another business, we ask you to verify the business — GSTIN, registered name and address, and the authorised person. Giving false information is grounds for suspension.

4. Your prices

A price you publish is what you are prepared to deal at, for the quantity you state. Buyers see it with how long ago you set it and the words “Price subject to confirmation”: the final price is whatever the two of you agree on the call. A price set on a previous market day — the market day starts at 9:00 AM IST — lapses when you next open the app, or after 24 hours without you opening it, and is removed from buyer search until you refresh it.

5. Anonymity and confidentiality

Buyers see prices without the seller’s name. Both names are revealed only when a buyer selects a seller. No seller is ever shown another seller’s price. A buyer who posts a requirement is shown in full to sellers who deal in that item. You may not scrape, bulk-collect, export or resell prices, requirements or business details obtained through this service.

6. Calls and recording

Calls go through masked numbers: neither side sees the other’s real number, during the call or after it. Every call is recorded, and before either side can speak it plays this notice: “This call is being recorded and may be reviewed by OrbMetal for quality and dispute-resolution purposes.”

Recordings are not listened to routinely. One is reviewed when the two sides’ confirmations do not match, when one side reports a deal and the other does not, when either side raises a complaint, when a call is picked for a random spot check, or when a business’s outcomes look unusual against the rest of the platform. Automatic transcripts are used only to find the right moment in a recording; anything genuinely contested is listened to by a person.

7. Confirming what happened

After each call both sides are asked, separately, whether the deal was done — with the quantity, final price and delivery date — or is still being negotiated, or did not happen. You agree to answer truthfully, with the terms actually agreed. Until you answer, you cannot start a new deal; others can still find and call you. You will be reminded at 2 and 4 hours, and after 6 hours our team will get in touch to confirm what happened.

8. Commission

Commission is charged only on a deal both sides have confirmed with matching details. It is charged to the buyer and to the seller each in full, not split between them, at 0.1% of the deal value whatever its size.

Each side receives its own payment link. Until your commission is paid you cannot start a new deal, and if you are a seller your prices are not shown to buyers. This lifts automatically the moment payment is received. The other side is not affected by your payment, nor you by theirs. Browsing, your deal history and your portfolio keep working throughout.

9. Reviews and appeals

A deal can be flagged for review when the two sides’ accounts differ, after a complaint, or when a pattern of outcomes looks unusual. Being flagged does not mean anyone has done anything wrong, and you will be told. You have 48 hours to give your side, and once you do, the team has up to 72 hours from the flag to look at it before anything is restricted.

If a flag is still unresolved after that, you cannot start a new deal until it is, and if you are a seller your prices are not shown to buyers. A flag on a deal where the accounts differ applies to both sides of that deal; a complaint applies to the business complained about. Browsing, your deal history and your portfolio keep working throughout — this is never a full account lockout.

10. Deal records

A deal both sides confirm is added to both businesses’ deal records automatically. You can also add deals made outside the app for your own records; those are marked as external and never carry commission. Once two businesses have been introduced, each sees how many deals the other has completed through OrbMetal — a plain count, never who those deals were with. We use deal data in aggregated and anonymised form to understand the market.

11. Acceptable use

Do not publish false or misleading prices, impersonate another business, misreport what was agreed on a call, harass other users, or use the service to do anything unlawful. We may suspend an account that does.

12. Availability and liability

We provide the service as it is, and we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error free. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from a transaction between users, including loss of profit, non-payment, or material that does not meet specification.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at New Delhi have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

14. Contact

Questions about these terms: contact@orbmetal.com. If something has gone wrong with a deal, use the Help section in the app — a person reads every message.
